Pastis · Pieni Roobertinkatu 2
Assistant Restaurant Manager
Pastis is a French bistro at heart — warm, knowledgeable and genuinely hospitable. We do things wholeheartedly and with a passion for customer service, and we are looking for an assistant restaurant manager for our dining room who shares the same ethos. For us, work is not just getting things done, but doing things together. A small, skilled team where a lot is expected, but there is also plenty of laughter.
What we are looking for
An assistant restaurant manager who stays calm in fast-changing situations and takes initiative.
Your most important responsibility is looking after our wonderful staff and our guests, and ensuring the quality and smooth running of service. You will act as the restaurant manager's right hand, guiding, inducting and supporting your colleagues. We value a energetic approach, good interpersonal skills, a sense of humour and the ability to cope with fast-changing situations and conditions.
We hope you have experience in a supervisory role, but of course you will have the support of the whole organisation during your induction. Drive and attitude matter at least as much in this role as an interest in good food and drink. Our work community also offers a great opportunity to develop professionally and give your career in the restaurant industry a fresh boost.
We value professional pride, an interest in wine and food, and a desire to do things properly, every day.
- Alcohol serving licence and hygiene passport
- At least a basic knowledge of wine
- Languages: fluent Finnish and English; French is a plus
Our restaurant is open from morning till night, so we value flexibility with shifts.
What we offer
We value good work and the people who do it. Ravintola Pastis is part of the Muru Dining family, which includes Ravintola Muru, Murun Viinibaari, Ravintola Villa Lilla and Muru Wines — so there are plenty of opportunities to grow within the company.
- Permanent, part-time contract: 112.5 hours / 3 weeks
- Leisure-time accident insurance and sickness insurance
- Extra evening and Saturday supplements on top of the collective agreement supplements
- Unit-specific incentive bonuses and an extra week of holiday
- A skilled and dynamic front-of-house team
- Real influence over developing the dining room and guest experience — your opinion matters
- The opportunity to grow into more responsible roles
- Wine and food training as part of the job — you are always learning
